The Air Penny Retro craze was sent through the roof a few months ago thanks to the release of the Nike Air Penny 1/2 Cent. The shoe fuses choice attributes from all the Air Penny models into one shoe and everything definitely came together in harmonious fashion on the Varsity Royal/Black pair that dropped back in February. Since then, we have showed you some other upcoming 1/2 Cent colorways, like the Black on Blacks, the Green Spark and this sweet Metallic Silver pair that we now have a new image of for your viewing pleasure. The shoe features a shiny Metallic Silver Foamposite upper with additional sections of black around the laces, ankle and heel and a transparent outsole and visible Air bubble. These kicks are expected to release in October and will no doubt go fast, so be sure to keep checking back for a specific release date. Nike is slated to retro several different popular models this year. We’ve already seen the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 - Varsity Royal which quickly sold out at retailers, and now have detailed pictures and a video of the Nike Total Max Uptempo, which is slated to release at Footaction locations in July 2009. Fanatics were ecstatic once rumors of this re-release first surfaced.

They sport nubuck on the toebox and lacing tabs, while the side panels sport a leather design. Highlighting the shoe are the volt yellow accents seen on the Nike swoosh and full length air sole unit. Look for them to come with a steep price, as they will retail for $160 at your local Footaction retailers.

Lakers Will Reign

As much as I hate to say this its true... the Lakers Will Win the Championship . Despite my utter disdain for Kobe Bryant's bitchass. He's a beast on the court but overall the nigga is a douchebag. Why do you ask

• Chris Childs stole the shit outta him
• He tries to portray this "clean" image
  
• He does dirty shit to people and this cries "whoa is me" when somebody does it back
• He elbowed Ron Artest and when Ron got in his shit about it he put his arms up like he was innocent
• He ran Shaq out of LA
• He couldnt get along with Shaq because he was upset about being #2
• He snitched on Shaq about him cheating on his wife just because he fucked some greedy White girl
• He's considered the best "closer" in the game yet stats show he isnt
• He's always had a great team around him.

With that being said the Lakers will win. The Lakers have a BOMB squad. Odom, Gasol, Ariza , Kobe and down the line. Kobe can have a bad night and the Lakers can still win. As much as Dwight Howard is a great defensive player and has an imposing physical prescense, he's not a great offensive player. His whole offensive game is based on charging. He lower his shoulder or throws elbows in order to make his way to the basket. The Magic also are a team that relies on jumpshooting too much. It worked against the Cavs but eventually those shots are not going to fall like in Game 1. Lakers too good and too deep Orlando too 1-dimensional. Lakers in 6!

I like this video better than "Chillin" but the song is lil more mellow and chilled and actually tells a story. Its good to see someone from the DMV whether he's from DC or MD doesn't matter because he's not exactly spittin hood shit. I know he's a big hit among the "Sneakerhead" culture because of his hypebeastiness. I hope he blows it REAL BIG though so he can let the world know HOW WE LIVIN!

Obama's Goes Global

I don't care if your a Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal (unless your an idiot Neo-Con) you there's no bad words to be said about Barack Obama's speech today at The University of Cairo in Egypt. Obama is a just a great orator. There was concern from the right that Obama was just going to go over there and apologize to *gasp* Muslims about all past wrong this country has done (which wouldn't be untrue) and continue his "apology tour". Well he didn't do that. He towed the thin line. He was harsh on Muslim extremist letting them know that they would not be tolerated, while letting them know that the US was not a place of hatred and we respect people of all races and religions were respected. I thought his use of the Koran ingenious as a way of connecting with his audience. HIS AUDIENCE IS NOT AN OLD WHITE MAN ALABAMA. People need to take things in context. Of course your going to have your Xenophoic Neo-Conservative idiots like Rush Limbaugh who say things like “If Al Qaeda wants to demolish the America we know and love, they'd better hurry, because Obama's beating them to it.” What a fuckin baseless idiot. I know he represents a very small part of Amerieca but that comment was COMPLETELY out of line. Things Lookin Up....

So I finally found a job after about a month in a half of being unemployed. Something slight in PG County Administration Building for this lil coffee company. It was one of those apply and get hired on the spot type a deals. Im such a charmer she couldnt help but hire me. Looking for a 2nd job so anybody know of something holla @ me. Whats even better is we finally got the air conditioning fixed! Shit was crazy. At one point it was 91 degrees on the middle level. Not a good feeling to sit in your room just sweating lol. Moms bout to leave out so im even more siced. Don't got worry about her nagging the shit outta me for the rest of the nite. hit me up!

So What's good. My name is Melvin. I'm a student at PG College for the time being. My major is Journalism but I'm thinking bout changing it to Hospitality and Management since the journalism industry is so dry right now. But yea. ima late 80's baby. I like sports and politics. I've read a *gasp* book in my life. I'm extremely sarcastic. Very thoughtful. I don't have dreads, wear fake gucci, or stunt at love every weekend. Matter fact I hate them lil bougie ass clubs. Rather go to a gogo anyday but even that's sketchy. So yea I like shoes and shit like that but im not your average trend-hoppin fool. only Nike basketball and new balance for me. keep it trill lol. Im a Democrat and dont understand Conservatives and their way of thinking. I usually try to watch Hannity or Oreilly to get an idea but cant stop laughin long enough to actualliy pay attention.
